Celebrate the Rentrée littéraire at Albertine! [fr]

This fall, visit Albertine to explore a selection of new French titles as part of the Rentrée Littéraire!

The bookstore will also host diverse events on art, imagination in Henri Michaux’s writing, the women who inspired Proust’s Duchesse de Guermantes, and much more.

Don’t miss Gone Missing on September 18th, with award-winning writers Léonora Miano and Hisham Matar. Miano will speak at Albertine as part of a U.S. tour promoting her book Season of the Shadow (winner of the 2013 Femina Prize; Seagull Books), which presents the early days of the Atlantic slave trade from the point of view of the sub-Saharan population who became its first victims.

Matar will also discuss his book, The Return: Fathers, Sons, and the Land in Between (winner of the 2017 Pulitzer Prize in biography; Random House).
