Consul general’s greetings
Dear Compatriots, Dear Friends,
As the month of January commences, I would like to wish each and every one of you, your families and your dear ones a very happy New Year 2012.
I address these wishes to the entire French community, and to all our American friends in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and the Bermudas.
I hope this year will bring you health, happiness on a personal and family level, as well as success in your professional plans.
2011 was a year rich in activity at the Consulate General of France in New York. This year we wish to strengthen the ties with the French community even further. A newsletter will keep you informed of the activities related to the Consulate General, and a new blog, myfranceinny.org, will offer a calendar displaying the events of the 17 different actors (French services, associations, institutions) that mark the French presence in New York.
The year of 2012 is an important year for the entire French community, which will be voting on April 21 and May 5, 2012, for the Presidential elections, and on June 2 and 16, for the legislative elections.
The entire team of the Consulate General has been working hard to insure the elections run smoothly. I hope many of you will participate and vote.
My best wishes for the New Year!
Mr. Philippe Lalliot, Consulate General of France in New York
