On Wednesday February 22, 2012, Mr. Laurent Batsch, President of the University of Paris-Dauphine, assembled its New York based Alumni Association for the first time, in the presence of Mr. Philippe Lalliot, Consul General of France.
In a time of high competition among Grandes Ecoles and universities around the world, Mr. Laurent Batsch presented Paris-Dauphine’s aspirations of internationalization. As a member of the upcoming campus, Paris Sciences et Lettres – one of the top three initiatives of excellence in France – the University focuses its efforts on opening up universally and playing an even greater role on the international scene. “We all share the same ambition: that of strengthening our country’s attractiveness and its influence worldwide. The excellent training and research facilities provided by the French institutions is what we must highlight and point out in order to further extend their reputation beyond our country’s frontiers, and thus allow them to compete with the best of foreign universities,” declared Mr. Philippe Lalliot.
