Tuition Assistance 2017/2018 – late applications and appeals
I am not satisfied with the decision regarding my application for tuition assistance for the school year 2017/2018. What should I do?
You can appeal the decision until the end of February 2018. Your request should be presented as follows:
• Compose a letter addressed to Mr. Christophe Bouchard, AEFE Director, detailing the reasons why you are not satisfied with the decision made regarding your case. Include any additional information that would further support reconsideration of your situation.
• Include all supporting documentation (about a sudden change in your financial situation, high level of expenses, change in your family situation, etc.)
It is imperative that the Consulate General’s Social Services receives the appeal no later than February 26, 2018.
Your request will be forwarded to the AEFE, which will carefully review it.
Please note that any appeal request sent directly to the AEFE in Paris will NOT be taken into account.
I just moved to the New York area, and my children enrolled at school after the beginning of the academic year. Can I still apply for tuition assistance?
Yes. If you moved recently, you may apply for tuition assistance during the school year. Your application must be received by the Social Services of the Consulate General by February 26, 2018 at the latest.
Your application will be reviewed promptly, in collaboration with AEFE.
