Tuition Assistance for the 2018/2019 school year
The social services department is available to answer your questions and will receive your applications for tuition assistance from December 4, 2017 to March 8, 2018.
You would like to enroll your child in a school accredited by the Agence pour l’Enseignement du Français à l’Etranger (AEFE) for the school year 2018/2019?
The Consulate’s social services department is available at 212 606 3602 to provide information on the 8 schools available in the area, and to answer your questions on the French government’s tuition assistance program.
The amount of assistance granted depends on the size of your family, the school you choose, your assets and income in 2017. With the exception of a few cases of extreme personal difficulty, families are always expected to pay a part of the tuition themselves. You may also apply for financial aid at the school directly.
You can apply for financial assistance for the 2018/2019 school year by appointment at the Consulate’s social services department, from December 4, 2017 to March 8, 2018. All applications will be reviewed by the Consular Council at the end of April 2018.
Appointments are offered Monday through Thursday, from 9am to 5:30pm. Every Thursday, additional appointments are offered at 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm and 7pm. Appointments should be made online
