Conference: Combatting terrorism and building the Great Green Wall: Sahel at the crossroads [fr]
Ahead of the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, the Consulate General of France In New York hosted a conference: "Combatting terrorism and building the Great Green Wall: Sahel at the crossroads".
This 2-part conference was co-organized with the Permanent mission of France to the United Nations, SOS Sahel, the Sciences Po American Foundation and Columbia University’s Alliance Program:
- Through a high-level expert panel, the first part of the conference will provide insights on the combined crises in the Sahel.
- A second panel will present one of the greatest ambition for the region: The Great Green Wall.
The conference saw the participation of diplomats, academics and researchers, NGOs, foundations and journalists.
