Celebrate Albertine’s 3rd Anniversary and the Return of the Literary Season! [fr]
As summer comes to an end, events at Albertine are back in full swing!
This month, New York’s only French bookshop celebrates its 3rd anniversary. For the occasion, the Albertine team invites you to an afternoon celebration at the bookshop on September 14th with Proustian madeleines and cider. It’s the perfect moment to become a member of Albertine, which offers special prices and access to private events.
The fall season will also feature numerous talks at Albertine, on varied subjects such as fashion in France and the U.S. with the stylist Anne Fontaine and speakers from the Fashion Institute of Technology; the achievements of women in the Parisian art scene in the nineteenth century; the perception of Islam in the United States; the Renaissance Française organization with a presentation from George Sape on his latest work; Mathias Enard’s Compass, winner of the 2015 Goncourt Prize; and The Safe House, a novel by Christophe Boltanski. All events are free and open to the public.
