This June the bookstore features a stimulating array of talks on subjects ranging from literature to politics and cuisine.
Join us for the second annual Albertine Prize award ceremony on June 6 when the winner of the 2018 Albertine Prize, a reader’s choice award for best French literature in English translation, will be unveiled in the presence of the Albertine Prize co-chairs, Lydia Davis and François Busnel.
On June 12, Adam Gopnik, Yascha Mounk, Melissa Nobles, and Manuel Valls will debate the decline of democracy, details here, followed by a discussion on June 21 on Emmanuelle de Villepin’s latest novel focusing on three generations of women, panel on June 27 on transatlantic relations.
