On July 14, 2024, to celebrate Bastille Day, the Consulate General of France in New York and its partners invite all New Yorkers to an exceptional music festival in the heart of Central Park, featuring iconic French and French-speaking artists. Among them, Femi The Scorpion, also known as "The Happiness Transporter". He’ll share his smile and wild dance moves with you!

Originally from Benin, Femi Akanho aka "Femi the Scorpion", has been living in France for 7 years. Singer, composer, performer, best known for his dancing talents and for his exploits in the streets of Paris, he is recognizable by his colorful look. Every day, he gets hundreds of thousands of Parisians up and dancing to the rhythm of his sound system.

His viral videos have caught the eye of the media and earned him numerous television appearances. The artist has become so popular that he has been named the "Happiness Transporter" and plans to spread his happy vibes to cities around the world. His desire: to make the street "a place of joy and sharing". And that is exactly what he will do on July 14 for Bastille Day!
