About French-American Aid for Children
French-American Aid For Children (FAAFC) is a not-for-profit association made up of an all-volunteer team. FAAFC’s mission is to provide financial support to charities dedicated to underprivileged children. These charities are based in France and the United States - but also in other countries in times of crisis - and promote children’s right to health, education and freedom of expression. Funds donated by FAAFC are specifically allocated to child-focused projects, and their use is rigorously monitored. French women married to American citizens founded the organization in 1939 to send relief supplies to the families of French prisoners of war and orphans. The organization continued to raise funds for various humanitarian actions before finally dedicating itself to the cause of children’s welfare, which is the aim of FAAFC’s motto "Children Come First".
