What is United for Bastille Day 2020?

From July 10 to 17, 2020, the operation United for Bastille Day 2020 will include a week of French-style celebration to pay tribute to the selflessness of the essential workers from all fields that supported all of us during the COVID-19 crisis, to contribute to the recovery of New York City and to support the French and Francophile community in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Bermuda.

What type of event can I find?

For the foodies, Sebastien Baud, Chef at the Residence of the Consul General of France, will offer a cooking class. Ariane Daguin and Rita Jammet from La Caravelle Champagne will bring their expertise on champagne and charcuterie pairing. Alexandra Claveau from the French Winemak’her Bar will give you the opportunity to learn all about French wines made exclusively by female
sommeliers.

French culture will be accompanying our Bastille Day celebration with the virtual exhibition “The Holy Third Gender: Kinnar Sadhu by Guillaume Ziccarelli” at the Gallerie Perrotin, and a virtual guided tour of NYC’s French Heritage with the French Institute.

Time Out New York will also offer a full day of immersion to the French culture, from Book reading for Kids with Albertine, to French lessons with JP Linguistics, and a live music set with French DJ Stoon.
