On Saturday September 11, the Consulate General of France in New York participated in the "Remember the Sky" campaign organized by the National September 11 Memorial & Museum on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the attacks, by publishing a photo of the sky on its social network.
Inspired by the clear blue sky of the morning of September 11, 2001, this campaign pays tribute to the victims and references the work "Trying to Remember the Color of the Sky on That September Morning" by artist Spencer Finch, on display at the Memorial. Composed of 2,983 watercolors in a unique shade of blue, the work honors the individuality of each of the fallen.

Following the commemorations, the Ambassador spoke on France Télévisions and Franceinfo, underlining the strong emotion felt during the ceremony and recalling the historic friendship and solidarity between France and the United States, which have both experienced terrorist attacks on their soil.
